Scotland and Switzerland meet on Wednesday in a crunch Euro 2024 Group A clash in Cologne.
Following Scotland’s 5-1 defeat by Germany in Munich on Friday night, Steve Clarke’s men require a positive result against the Swiss, who started their own campaign with an impressive 3-1 win over Hungary on Saturday.
Switzerland can qualify for the last 16 with a victory over the Scots, and are unlikely to make too many, if any, changes for the match. Their coach Murat Yakin has no major selection issues to contend with.
It is not the same for his opposite number Clarke, who will have to make at least one alteration, with centre-half Ryan Porteous suspended for this match after his red card against the Germans. There is also clamour from the Tartan Army for midfielder Billy Gilmour to be reinstated after not making the starting XI in Munich, although that would likely mean one of Ryan Christie, Scott McTominay, Callum McGregor and John McGinn dropping out.
