Hide AdMets were expected to put up more resistance on their own patch after taking Edinburgh to 19-17 in the fifth set in the John Syer Trophy back in November.
Elsewhere at the weekend, Edinburgh Jets took a giant side towards beating the drop with an 18-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-22 win over Troon PA. The win suggests Jets can avoid the bottom two places.
In the women’s first division, Edinburgh Jets lost to unbeaten league leaders Troon PA 17-25, 15-25, 25-17, 21-25 while City of Edinburgh beat NUVOC 25-12, 25-20, 25-13.
