Hide AdPerth's Scott Donaldson, 17, reached the quarter-finals after a stunning 5-0 whitewash of Germany's Patrick Einsle. However, Donaldson fell in a final-frame decider to top seed Martin O'Donnell of Ireland, losing out 5-4 to end his title hopes. Bobby Cruickshanks, 31, also from Perth, reached the quarter-finals before losing 5-2 to Ireland's Vincent Mundoon despite winning the opening two frames.
Paul Jamieson of Dumfries reached the quarter-finals of the Masters event, before a 5-2 defeat to Ukraine's Alan Trigg.
