Russell is eager to get going again
The Livi front man has seven goals to his name already this campaign and admits the last few weeks have been frustrating as he has watched on from the sidelines.

Hide AdAfter looking on as the Lions toppled promotion-chasing Dunfermline 2-1 itwo weeks ago, he is also determined to get back into the starting XI and resume his fine form.
He said: “It’s hard watching from the sides, especially in the two games we lost against Dundee and Thistle. Then we had Dunfermline here and you get right up for the game and it was great to see the guys win.
“I was up in the box with Paul (Watson) and Jason (Talbot) and I think we were near getting chucked out for being up shouting! I think that shows our team spirit as well, so we’re just keen to win some games and get up the table.
“I’ve been out about a month so I’ve been a wee bit rusty, but it’s been great back training with the boys, having a laugh, and I’m just desperate to be back playing on a Saturday as well.”
Russell reckons Livi have a real opportunity over the coming weeks, despite sitting ten points behind leaders Partick Thistle.
He added: “I think it’s a big period for us all. Coming back in terms of fitness, it’s a big period for me in trying to get back into the team, since I was going quite well before I got injured, but it’s also really important for the team.
“If we’re going to try and do anything towards the top of the table we need to try and do something over these games.”
