Ross County target Konopka as Scott Fox misses final
US stopper Chris Konopka is understood to be at the front of the queue after joining the Dingwall club on trial.
Staggies boss McIntyre is sweating after regular number one Scott Fox was ruled out of the Hampden clash with Hibernian due to a knee injury sustained in a collision with Chris McLaughlin during last Saturday’s defeat by Dundee United .

But McIntyre is looking to boost his options between the posts and has invited 6ft 5in American Konopka to the Highlands with the lure of a short-term deal until the end of the season if he impresses.
Asked about his plans ahead of Saturday’s William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final with Dundee United, McIntyre would only confirm he was “still looking” for another keeper.
Konopka, 30, holds a Polish passport and therefore does not require a work permit to sign.
He was most recently on the books at MLS side Toronto FC, racking up 24 appearances last season, but was axed by head coach Greg Vanney at the end of the MLS campaign.
He was recently on trial with DC United – managed by former Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Olson – but failed to win a deal. Konopka has also spent time with Philadelphia Union, New York Red Bulls and Kansas City Wizards but mainly as an understudy.
He has experience of playing overseas following stints with Irish outfits Bohemian, Sporting Fingal and Waterford United.
