Rangers title win the earliest in Scottish top flight in 119 years
Chronologically, that is the earliest a team has done so since the 1902/03 season when Hibs were crowned champions in December with just two matches left to play in a 22-game season.
In terms of matches left to be played, Celtic remain the record holders after confirming their 2016/17 success under the stewardship of Brendan Rodgers with eight matches remaining. This current Rangers team have six left, including two meetings with their old rivals.

Hide AdAlthough, if worked out on a percentage of games remaining, Rangers are record holders from 1899 and 1990, when they won the crown with 22.2 per cent of their total games still to be played.
