Hide AdSiddikur, who is the first Bangladeshi to play and win on the Asian Tour, fired six birdies against one bogey for a six-under-par 138 total, with his fine putting exemplified by a 30-foot birdie putt on the third hole.
Ross Bain, the other Scot in the field, made the cut after bouncing back from his opening 79 with a 69 that contained five birdies.
