Police hunt man after Aberdeen sex assault
The woman was attacked in the early hours of Sunday morning in the Castlegate area of the city.
A force spokesman said the victim had been left “distressed” but had not been in injured in the attack.

Hide AdThe spokesman said: “Police Scotland are investigating a sexual assault that occurred in the Castlegate area at around 3.30am on Sunday. The victim, a 22 year-old woman, was left distressed but injured as a result. She did not require any medical attention.”
He added: “Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
The man being sought in connection with the sex attack is said to be of Asian appearance and aged in his late 20s to early30s. He is described as 5ft 10ins to 6ft tall, of medium built with short dark hair and was wearing a distinctive two tone padded hooded jacket and light blue or faded jeans and white trainers.
Detective Inspector Kevin Walker, who is heading the investigation, said: “We are appealing for witnesses who may have been around about the Castlegate and Justice Street area. We know there were people there and at least one woman stopped to speak to the female.”
Dundee appeal over indecent assault
Meanwhile detectives in Dundee are appealing for witnesses following an incident on Saturday night in which a woman was indecently assaulted at a bus stop in the city.
The incident took place about 7.10pm on Saturday at a bus stop on Fintry Drive, Dundee.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At the time of the incident, the area was busy with pedestrians. We are keen, in particular, to identify a male aged 40-50, medium to stocky build, clean shaven with a local accent. Anyone with any information please contact Police Scotland on 101 or speak to any officer.”
