From city boltholes to country retreats (and a well known name heading to the capital), these are some of Scotland’s newest hotels.
1. Citi Hotel, Aberdeen
The Citi hotel opened last year in what was The Royal Hotel, which closed in 2016 after 137 years. A £500,000 refurbishment has turned it into a no-frills style business abode. Photo: Citi Hotel
2. Kingshouse Hotel, Glencoe
This historic hotel has been welcoming guests since the 1750s. After an extensive rebuild and upgrade the hotel re-opened in February last year. As well as new rooms there is a bar and restaurant too. Photo: Kingshouse Hotel
3. Hilton, Aberdeen
Aberdeen’s newest Hilton opened last year and will be an ideal retreat for anyone visiting the adjacent P&J Live venue. The rooms are named after the region’s most famous residents, and there is a restaurant, bar, lounge and spa. Photo: Hilton Facebook
4. Mill House B&B, Perth & Kinross
