Dance, physical theatre & circus review: Ockham's Razor: Tipping Point
Star rating: ***
Venue: C scala (Venue 166)
Tipping Point still finds the performers taking risks and creating beauty, but that wonderful blend of circus and theatricality has been replaced with straight- forward skill-sharing.
Five aerialists are surrounded by long white poles, specially fashioned for the event. They swing from the rig, prompting the three men and two women to find as many ways as possible to climb or balance on them.

Hide AdIt’s all about the ‘tipping point’ and their quest to find the exact place to stand or sit, when to shift their weight, and where to place their feet to maintain the pole’s position (and their own safety).
There’s a huge amount to enjoy here – if only Ockham hadn’t spoilt us last year by showing us what they’re really capable of.
Until today, 3pm.
