Glasgow revealed Matawalu had been cleared to continue playing after a three-and-a-half-hour league disciplinary tribunal in Cardiff on Wednesday afternoon.
A club statement read: “The committee found, on the balance of probabilities, that while Niko’s teeth had come into contact with Donncha O’Callaghan’s arm, causing injury, this contact was accidental and therefore not an act of foul play. Accordingly, the citing was dismissed.

Munster scrum-half Conor Murray was also cleared of elbowing Matawalu.
