The Norway international, who joined Cardiff in January 2014 from Molde, linking up with former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, joined the Hoops on loan in July, with an option for a permanent deal in January 2015.
He played under Ronny Deila during a season-long loan in the 2010/11 season, where he netted eight times in 31 matches.

Deila told the Evening Times: “Jo Inge’s loan contract finishes in January. We have not decided yet. But I think Jo Inge needs playing time and therefore, he will look for other choices.”
Berget scored a double in a 6-1 win on his home debut against Dundee United in August.
