BBC 5 Live’s Shelagh Fogarty shocked by mouse in studio
The BBC journalist was about an hour into her Radio 5 Live afternoon show discussing drug use, when one of her guests spotted a mouse running across the floor, causing a panicked Fogarty to leap out of her chair, saying: “Oh my God, how horrible. Oh gosh, I’m sorry, I’m live on the radio squealing and saying how horrible and kneeling on my chair because there is a mouse in the room.”
Fogarty quickly brought the interview to an end, telling her listeners: “I’m going to leave it there, because I’m not sure I can continue interviewing in a serious manner when I know there’s a mouse scurrying around my feet.”
