Tributes paid to teenage driver killed in Aberdeen crash
Conor Donald, 18, was driving a red car when the collision happened on the Beach Esplanade, which runs by the North Sea in Aberdeen, at 7.45am on Saturday.
Police said the van driver suffered minor injuries.
Grampian Police said the Mr Donald, from the Newmachar area, was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where he later died of his injuries.

Hide AdIn a statement, his family said: “Our son Conor Donald had the kindest heart. All who knew him were touched by his generosity of spirit.
“He was the best son, brother, uncle, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.
“Conor was so laid back and cheeky. Always trying to help, usually making things worse. His smile was the light of our lives. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.”
