A section of the M8 motorway has reopened after a heavy goods lorry overturned earlier today.
The accident, which occurred at around 1.50pm today, forced the closure of the eastbound carriageway at Junction 5 near Shotts for a period, with traffic being diverted off at the slip road.
Traffic Scotland said the HGV lorry had been removed from the carriageway and a clean-up operation had been completed.
No one is thought to have been injured in the accident.
