Edinburgh Trams inquiry office ‘broken into’
A spokesman for the inquiry said its offices on the first floor of the Waverley Gate building at the east end of Princes Street were broken into, and that police were investigating.
It is believed that items including laptops were stolen. It is not yet clear whether the inquiry was targeted by thieves.

Hide AdA spokesperson for the Edinburgh Tram Inquiry said: “Edinburgh Tram Inquiry can confirm that there was a break-in at our offices between the evening of Thursday, January 29 and Friday morning. As the incident is currently under investigation by Police Scotland it is not appropriate to comment further on this matter.”
