Dash for cash
Commuting by people who have a fixed place of employment is a lifestyle choice. For whatever reason, they have decided to live apart from their place of employment.
That practice was a short- term anomaly. It was only made possible, and popular, by the cheap and plentiful supply of oil that was available for some years towards the end of the 20th century.

Hide AdFor most of us the extravagant practices that limitless supply of cheap oil made possible have long since come to an end, but it will be interesting to see if the commuter vote is substantial enough to keep having government money thrown at it.
