37 gnomes stolen from elderly woman's garden in Angus

An elderly woman has had 37 gnomes stolen from her garden in Angus.
The figures, which police describe as “small garden gnomes”, were taken from a garden in Brechin Road, Arbroath, between April 23 and 30.
The gardening gnomes were taken from the woman’s front garden.

Hide AdPolice said they are of little monetary value, but their owner is “understandably upset” at being the victim of the theft.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “If someone has taken them as a prank or because they think it is funny, we can assure them that it is not.”
