T in the Park review: Patrick Wolf
PATRICK Wolf might not be the most obvious choice for a festival – but
at this time of day, he's just the right mix of weirdness and enthusiasm to really click.

Hide AdAlso, in traditional festival fashion, he's looking to get in with the Scottish crowds by wearing a kilt. Not only this, but he's keen for the audience to know that he's been wishing to play T "since I was a young boy". Good move, Patrick.
Clearly, this is a man who likes to bond with his crowd – traipsing
down to the front barrier to shower them with hugs. Showing off his
skills on a full complement of instruments, including a violin and
harp, he treats them to what he calls the "disco" track from his new
album, Lupercalia.
His enthusiasm, and quite clear delight at being
here, goes down well, both with the strong fanbase at the front
barriers and the people just sitting happily picnicking at the back.
It's a warm welcome to T for Mr Wolf.
