New Scotland hero Ikechi Anya could have been in the squad four years earlier if the SFA had listened to Glenn Hoddle.

Anya impressed at the Hoddle soccer academy, and Hoddle pushed for the SFA to consider him for the under-21 side, but they never got back to him. (Various)
